e-bay is an entire process, it's not a bulletin board. Since we don't do controlled auctions where there is a software determined 'winner' of the FS item, there's no way to control legitimate feedback. Granted, we could make it where the 'seller' can appoint who bought the item and that would allow the 'buyer' to post feedback, but if it's a bad deal, then the 'seller' or 'buyer' would only do what benefits them. If they know the feedback is going to be positive, then they will assign a buyer to give positive feedback... see, it's a whole big mechanism to make it work smoothly w/o a lot of admin/moderator involvement. Obviously I don't have time, I'd rather send bassplayr or someone over to their door.... The best thing to do is just be cautious and don't buy anything you can't afford to loose. Sucks, but that's how I play on here and e-bay, etc. If I get hustled, then I'm not going to cry over it. No problems so far. Now, let's take a step back. What if we built a people network of assigned tt.NET 'escrow' agents in each metropolitan area to either collect money or goods and do the transaction in person. That would probably solve 99.5% of the BS we see on here with slow pay/slow delivery. A nominal fee in the middle and everything would be smooth. I'd recommend using an internet escrow company for larger transactions anyway.
